Our services help Medicare Advantage, Commercial/Exchange, and Medicaid managed care plans improve and support accurate reimbursement in a post-Affordable Care Act market. Our services include retrospective chart reviews, medical record retrieval, HEDIS/ACO quality reporting, and data analytics, allowing payers and providers to dramatically reduce costs and improve quality of care.

Job Summary:

The Recruiter is responsible for managing the staffing efforts of Episource and in building a strong workforce that adds to the company’s overall effectiveness as an employer of choice. The individual has a deep understanding of the organization and its staffing needs, possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, and has knowledge of employment practices.

Essential Functions:

The Recruiter will be called upon to find potential candidates, screen them, and recommend them for placement using internal, external, as well as, traditional and non-traditional sourcing methods.  The Recruiter is responsible for the entire recruiting cycle for both regular and seasonal temporary employees, which will include:

  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy for organizational requirements and various project programs as necessary.
  • Support year over year expansion targets by developing our core markets (both current and potential) including building out our current provider networks in each area.
  • Create and Maintain a database of future educational and networking events we should attend. Including reaching out to sponsors and organizers to determine which events best fit our hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain a network of established contacts to identify and attract talent. Resources often include community networking events, job fairs, online sources, career fairs, and advertising/marketing programs and partnerships with colleges and universities.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements, objectives and other job qualifications.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards, newspapers, colleges and other recruitment sources.
  • Pre-screen candidates and conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools and methods to filter candidates within scope of the projects.
  • Source, recruit, and screen candidates by using databases, social media and other venues.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
  • Onboard new employees to become fully integrated and productive.  May assist with new hire orientation, conversion from contingent to Full Time Regular hire
  • Monitor and apply Human Resources recruiting best practices.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to HR and the rest of the team.
  • Maintain recruiting metrics by documenting daily processes to determine continuous process improvement. Metrics include open positions vs. positions filled ratio, sourcing effectiveness; cost per hire, time to fill, retention rates and percentages, and quality of hire.
  • Responsible for routine checks on recent hires (30, 60, 90 days) on one’s overall performance including but not limited to productivity, required deliverables, and attendance.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to review position needs, salary requirements and length of assignment. Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Avoids legal challenges by understanding acceptable interview and hiring practices for a contingent labor workforce which may include temporary, seasonal, contractors, and temp to hire.
  • Continuous improvement with regards to job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks and participating in professional organizations/events.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum BS/MS in Human Resources Management or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter).
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc.)
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centers (in tray activities, work samples, psychometric, and IQ/EQ tests, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS).
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office-Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintain a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or move recruitment supplies to various locations, weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Requires normal range of speak, hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
  • 40% of domestic and/or international travel.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some standing, some bending, stooping and stretching, requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment.
  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
